The next meeting of the Coventry Diabetes UK Group is being held on the 15th June 2015 from 7:30-9pm at the Salvation Army, Upper Well Street, Coventry.
We are nearly at the Summer Solstice, and nobody knows where the past six months have gone. The gardens are now full of colour and looking good and we are now looking forward to the hot lazy days of Summer and the long awaited Summer holiday. If you have any concerns about travelling with Diabetes and ways of keeping your medication cool in those hot climates pop along and we might just have the solution.
Our guest speaker this month is Paul Maddocks from the Coventry Society. The society have been involved in the campaigns to save both Kirbey House and more recently the Charterhouse. You might also have come across Paul when visiting Coventry Cathedral where he is a guide. He will be giving us a talk on the wonders of Coventry and perhaps a peek into the dark and dingy side of the past.
Other things happening are the raffle to raise funds for the group so please feel free to bring along any suitable prizes you wish to donate. We are also looking for new committee members. You do not have to have Diabetes to be a committee member so if you would like to get more involved in the group, please get in touch. There is no fee for joining, everybody is welcome for a warm and friendly chat, so why not pop along and make new friends.
