Can you spare an hour this weekend?

Volunteers in Coventry needed to lead charity collection

Coventry needs volunteers for a collection at their local Tesco supermarket

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) and Diabetes UK are appealing for enthusiastic volunteers in Coventry to help out at a collection weekend at their local Tesco store.

BHF and Diabetes UK are recruiting thousands of volunteers across the UK and are looking for 10 volunteers in Coventry to help out at the Big Collection weekend locally. The collections will take place on 13th and 14th June, with the aim of raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for the BHF and Diabetes UK, as part of the major national charity partnership between the two organisations and Tesco. If you think you could spare an hour or so over the weekend please either email BigCollection@tescocharitypartnership.org.uk or phone 0345 123 2399.

Peter Shorrick, Diabetes Regional Manager said, “By joining us at the TESCO Superstore on Clifford Bridge Road, you can play a vital part in helping people live longer, healthier lives. Cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes are both serious conditions that can shorten lives. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Your support will mean that we can help millions of people reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.”
