The next meeting of the Coventry Diabetes UK Group is being held on 18th April from 7.30 till 9pm at the Salvation Army, Upper Well Street, Coventry.
Spring is in the air and its time once again to look forward to the rest of the year, those lazy days on the beach or by the pool. We are also continuing to look for better ways to manage our diabetes.
Our guest speaker this month is one of the Diabetes Consultants (to be confirmed) From the WISDEM Centre at UHCW and Diane Sambrook, one of the Diabetes Research Nurses. They will be giving us an update on some of the national and international research projects the hospital are currently participating in and letting us know of ways in which we might be able to help. This research is vitally important if there is ever going to be a cure for diabetes.
As always we have the raffle to riase funds for the group so please feel free to donate a gift and buy a ticket or two. There are plenty of opportunities to get more involved in the group, so if you think you could spare a couple of hours please get in touch. No membership commitment is required, everybody is welcome to drop in for a warm and friendly chat, so why not pop along and make new friends.
